Im trying to remove the overhead console to check for trip computer
wiring. I have removed the screw in the garage door opener compartment
to drop the rear of the console. I cant get this console to drop down...
its still attached somewhere in the front... how can i remove this
for inspection without breaking it??

thanks

Its been a while....
I put one in my old 97 GC.
Something I remember about 2 screws. Cant swear to it though.
One in the remote box and one by the sunglass holder.
Both were easy to see with a light.
The unit will swing down hinged by the windshield side.
So any hang up must be further rear of that.
The plug is a 6 pin red plug. Star wrench to install the comp.

You will need the thermo sensor to get the temp gauge to work.
It goes in the front exterior center of the bottom air intake.
A plug will be hanging down. connect a thermo sensor there.

Compass may be off. But follow the instructions in the owners manual.

That instant mpg trip computer was the best thing to teach me hypermiling.
I can get up to 32 mpg.:D

Good Luck,
Tom
