I've got an 82 d150 w/225. I got a few questons: how hard is it to check to see if sending unit is working( i know i will prob have to drop gas tank),anyone know WHERE i can find a new one(check w/about all part stores(autozone,advance,o'reillies,internet. Thanks for the help.:help:

I have the same problem, my fuel sending unit is going. I am able to tell, because when it gets down to half a tank, it stops working. I haven't been able to find one to replace it yet, several members here have suggested taking a look at the loval salvage yard for any. Other than that, I have had a hard time finding a good replacement.

mines not working. i have to go by milage. anyone know if the sending unit in the 80's mdls are anything like the ones posted in the low tech how to about the 70 someting mdl w/tank inside cab?
