has 101k miles.
has been tuned up with new wires and plugs last sept.
since then it has a miss in it at 40-50 miles per hr. at times.
mostly at 45.
if you step on the gas it goes on.
just has that miss around 45.
mech. replaced the wires and that took care of it for awhile.
# 3 wire was bad.
now the miss is back.
what would be causing this problem?
any help would be appreciated.
thankx,
bill

When they replaced the #3 wire did they check/replace the #3 plug?

no he did not replace the # 3 plug.
just repalced a new set of wires and it ran fine for a few months and now it's missing again.
thankx for your response.

Forgot to mention the specs of your car. year, make, model, engine size and stuff. I would replace that plug and maybe the wire maybe you got the ignition coil going

I'd change all 4 plugs & wires. No sense on going the cheap route either, get Platinum plugs, & some quailty wires. Also, start the car[at night], and open the hood when it's really dark outside. You may see a small fireworks show that will easily let you track the source of the electrical problem, 'IF' it is an electrical issue. Just my 2/100th's-'bird
I wish you the best of luck!

The Stratus is really picky about the plugs it likes! i would stick with the recommended ones to be safe! My wifes 2.4L does the same, and know it's time for new ones!
