2002 Intrepid p0441

I've had alot of problems with this car since i bought it used. The engine light came one the first time but within a week it went off. Then came back on a couple of weeks later. It gave the error code p0441. Went to dealership they did a smoke test and said it was a cracked valve or hose (something like that i cant really remember exactly). anyway a month after that there was a big problem with transmission. Got that fixed then engine light came on for what the dealership told me was a purge valve transponder (or something like that). got that repaired and now on again with p0441. Its cost me quite a bit so far so was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of where i should go from here. I can take it back to dealer but its just gonna cost me more money and ive already put alot into the car. It seems to be fixed for a most a week but the engine light will come back on. is p0441 normally such an intermittant problem.

-Ive read in the forum about how to get error codes without using the tester so i will try that when i get home and report any additional codes if there are any.

ok it is only p0441. Getting the readout on the dash is a really neat trick. Am i correct in assuming that until an inspection comes around it doesnt really need to get fixed?
