I have a 94 Dodge Caravan. 3.0 engine with almost 130k miles. So far it has run good with little or no problems. I plan on taking a trip of about 2,000 miles soon. My question concerns my rear shocks and front struts. None are leaking and if I bounce the front or back bumper a few times it may bounce twice and stop. I'm wondering if it would be prudent to go ahead and replace the shocks and entire strut assemblys as preventive maintenance. Does anyone know how long these things last. I've had other makes of cars that needed shocks and or struts replaced long befroe the mileage on my van. Thanks for any advice.
