My van has been running great since '96, but last winter I noticed the passenger power window going up and down very slowly and stop in the middle. I could not control it from the driver's side switch but only from the passenger side, it got a little bit faster as soon as it got warmer. Last night it happened again, but this time it would not go up at all. Neither switch would work. This morning, though, I tapped the door and it started to go again, but slowly. At least it is closed, now. Do I need to replace the regulator or fuse? If so, how do I do this? Please advise, for I am willing to try to fix it myself.

Thank you.

Peregrina.

Sounds to me like the window motor itself is going bad or corroded connections inside the door panel. Getting the door panel off in one piece is the hardest part of changing the motor. Once the panel is off it's easy to see how it needs to be removed. The motor and regulator are usually sold together. It also sounds like a switch is bad on the drivers side.
