I get to sell my Isuzu Trooper and now will have some cash to spend on my Ram. Heres what I am planning in this particular order...

1)Sumit racing dual exhaust package with 2 turbo mufflers

2)fix leakey lifter covers(paint them blue while I have them off)

3)metalic sky blue paint job, and bed liner

4)Lift the front end with coil spacers

5)new 31" a/t tires(possibly cheap rockcrawlers too)

6)front seat re-upholstered

7)new cdplayer, new speakers, possibly an amp and sub

8)possibly a new grille(either a 93 or a older rounder headlight 79).

9)possibly a new bed shell that is canvas and collapses like a convertible/fold up

I am getting headers in the summit racing package. It comes with headers, pipes, mufflers, flanges, ect. Well, IM not gonna do too much to the engine, except a k&n. Im trying to keep it kinda original....maybe Ill get a better carb. Hmm.

Yep...I got the stock 2 barrel, but its been rebuilt in 2001. Well, the whole engine was rebuilt in 2001, along with the transmission. I'm now at 130,000 miles on the body, only 15,000(estimated) on the engine and transmission. I might just end up giving it a paint job, headers/exhaust, and some little things.

the Carter 2-bbl on the 318 works pretty good, gets good milige and flows enough air/fuel for a stock/mild motor. i actually ran mine on a 360 for awhile, worked good but it restricted it badly on the top end (4500+ rpm).

OKAY! YES! I finally sold my Isuzu Trooper, so now I have some mola to spend on the RAM. First off...I need two new tires(stock size), do a brake job, and a tune up. So far today I have replaced my valve cover gaskets, got a K&N filter, and little things like a seatcover, and floor mats. I am now only debating on what single color to paint my truck...Im thinking the original sky blue...but might get a darker/metalic/midnight blue. Any input? Also...about exhaust. Would I gain any power other than rumble if I just got some flowmasters, or would I be better off spending more money getting headers and getting all new exhaust. Im not going to be upgrading my carbeurator, so I don't think I will be gaining much if I did headers and all.

some headers will give you more then a muffler go with a metalic blue what happened to the list you posted had more then this on it

Go with the Dark Blue. And get the black Rock Crawlers and some nice "Fuzzy" tires, nothing will impact your trucks look as much as wheel/tire combo. Then "flows", gotta give r some rumble! Then the bedliner treatment. Then just drive it and be prepared to beat the women off with a stick!!! ;) :rck:

well...heres an update. I have all of my body work done, it goes in to the paint shop on monday. I shaved off the trim(chrome on top, rubber on the bottom). As for the interior...I have gotten a cd player off a friend that will work for now, and am gonna stay with the seat-cover and floor mats. As for the engine, I have replaced the leaking valve cover gaskets, and swapped in a new K&N. I have decided to go for a Light/blue/metallic paint job, color matched to the stock color of the lighter blue of my two tone. I cancelled the 93 grille, instead want a new 85-later 80's grille(still like the look better). As for headers and exhaust...that will be a while. Im gonna leave the suspension the way it is. I already got 4 new stock-sized tires(way cheaper). And...I have the bedliner(herculiner) kit already.

Well, I got the RAM back from Maaco. I choose to paint it Diamond light metalic blue of 1989. Its icey cold, looks like silver at night. All I can say is that they did an excellant job. I think since this maaco is new, they have to build a reputation, so they do great work...atleast for now. Anyways, I have the 2 year gloss/bubbling/peeling warranty. they made a "mistake" and gave me the urathane instead of the cheaper sealer(to my advantage). I have to wait till I can develop my film to post pictures. I have to wait 4 weeks tll I can get it rhino-lined(paint has to cure).
