Yea the car will be mine. Since I'm 15 it is to risky driving that to school in my opinion. The car is smaller so it would be easier to park and less likely to get door dings. I hope no one does anything stupid to it tho

Let me get this straight . . . your 15 . . . you have a new Ram . . . a new SRT-4 . . . and your driving to school??? Am I missing something??? First of all, unless I'm mistaken, it's illegal for you to be drivng . . . right. I mean no offense to you when I say this, because I'm sure your a great kid . . . but . . . it would be a cold day in you know where before I gave a 15 year old keys to any car as fast as an SRT-4. Your parents are obviously well off, which is fine, but a 15 or 16 year old, in my opinion should start off with a "beginner" car. You know, one you can really learn to drive in. Like I said no offense it just seems odd. I was 16 once and I know if I would have been given a car that fast, I would probably be dead right now. It's too tempting to race. Of course my opinion doesn't mean anything to you so I guess all I can say is congrats on the car (& truck) and for GOD's sake be carefull and wear your seatbelt.

No No. The ram is my dad's. He says it will eventually be mine but who knows. I don't drive to school. I meant to say when I start driving to school. Sorry to confuse anyone. I was really tired when I typed that (not to make excuses but). Don't worry I'm not stupid enough to drive 100 mph. I have a 4.0 GPA in school and my parents trust me not to do anything stupid. I know how much insurance costs so I am not going to risk getting a ticket or wrecking it on something stupid. I started driving last August with my permit, in my moms minivan, the car I learned to drive with, so this is not the first car I have driven. I am not listed as the main driver on the car either I am listed as the main driver on the minivan, to save money. Sorry if you mis-understood me any.

I think it adds to the confusion that in your signature, that you explicitly list the Ram truck as YOURS. Just by reading your sig, the common person would think you have 2 vehicles
lrl1990
04-20-2004, 09:06 PM
Yea I guess. I only had the truck listed in there before because that is the only good car we had. My dad always says that everything that is his is mine. So I guess that is why I have it like that. Sorry to confuse you guys. I guess now you know. He says that when I get older the truck will be mine and he will buy a Dakota but who knows.

DUDE.. I had an 86 blazer when i was 16.. it was 10 years old with 60,000 miles on it.. I thought i was the shit.. but.. DAMN kid.. If your parent bought you an srt-4 BEFORE you can actually drive by yourself.. Lucky you.. But really.. Your signature is REALLy decieving.. 99.99999% of everyone here posts only cars that are their own.. If that was the case id add my moms, dads, and sisters vehicles in mine and people would think in a car pimp or something.. haha

I'm sorry about the sig. I just cant delete the truck out of there. It was the first sweet car we ever got, and it is what brought me to the site. That was the car that I was originally going to get, but my dad says I can have it when he gets older and gets a small pickup when I'm done with college. But I'll change the sig to shared ride, because we both share it. Like I said whenever I say to him yours he always say. "Everything that is yours is mine", so it is ours i guess.
One reason thatI have a car like I do is because I am a only child and I'm sure that all of you had brothers and sisters and you parents had to split the money up instead of just one person.
dodgeneon_chick
05-06-2004, 08:53 PM
is yours the sohc or dohc?? cuz people tell me all the time that the 95s got that bigger cam then them all and most 95 are the sohc.... if you got the dohc then i can see you winning the race but if you dont there is no way unless you got some shit done to it and they didnt have anything done...or maybe they got a new motor in there or something...i dont know

hows does that Kicker system sound?
I don't think it sounds that bad. I like it much more than the Infinity that other dodge's have. It sounds great for a factory system and doesnt take much trunk room up, but if you want killer bass go with aftermarket Kicker subs

I'll agree it sounds nice and don't take up to much roombut what did that cost extra? I woulda thought it woulda had a lil more boom, but it makes for great sound quality

I'm not even sure what it costs. But you also get the 6 disc changer with that and I think better speakers (not sure). So you get a sub and a amp, and the ability to play 7 discs( includes the regular CD player), and it all flows with the factory look, so I like it.

dodgeneon_chick: Go to www.neons.org. Won't find any better source of information for such questions.
My first car was a '74 Charger SE. Ok, so it only had a 318-2 in it, it was still fun to drive and show off a little.

Just go to reply, and then down on the bottom, a little after Submit reply click manage attachments, then browse and select pictures, and it takes a while to upload then, you just submit post.

Since your sig seems to have caused a bit of confusion, why not simply edit it?
You state: "Click the link to see pics of my Dad and I's truck and my car." Not only is this bad English, it is misleading. An example of a sig with proper English might be: "Click the link to see pics of my Dad's truck and my car."
You would say "my Dad's truck", and "these are pics of my Dad and me", or "my Dad and I went to the store", but not "my Dad and I's truck".
/English lesson
No confusion there, and uses proper English, too. :)

the DOHC's are NOT bigger than the SOHC. they are both 2 liters. in 95, the SOHC did have a more aggressive cam. Mopar sells it as a kit to retrofit later single cam engines.

the dohc's have one more cam then the sohc......okay if the 95 dont got the bigger cam then why dose one beat a 97 with the same motor and that same stuff done to it......

yes. Dodge made it less aggressive in 96 for the sake of driveability. great for noise, vibration, and harshness...not so great for performance.....

In the old muscle-car days, there were ordinary cams, and there were HOTTER cams. Also sometimes they were called "lumpy" or "bumpy" cams, because muscle-cars with racing cams idled very rough, almost to the point of stalling. A hot cam isn't "bigger" than a stock cam, but it might have more "lift", which refers to the lobes on the camshaft.
