My rear struts are gone. You can dribble the back of the car like a basketball. The pass. side axle has a joint going out. Its been parked for about a month now. Been shopping for a SRT-4, just cant get my self into thinking about a car payment. At what point do you throw in the towel? My car has 303k on the body and 140+ on the motor and it seems one thing after another. I drive it about 25k a year. Got a mechanic doing the struts this weekend. What do you guys think? Drive it until its dead or sell while its worth something?

Yeah I've been checking the org and also yahoo cars. I've found a couple I really like. A blue srt4 with 31k miles and a red one with 27k miles. Just cant pull the trigger...

keep it. it's not worth much of anything at this point. Drive it until it's dead.

Keep that sucka and drive it into the dirt!! Wont be much of a trade in anyhow. Keep it for a toy and get you another car. I myself would also love to own an SRT but Im just like you. Don't want the payments.

Keep it and use it as a beater w/ a heater. I myself can dribble the rear of my car, im ok with it for now but come spring i"ll change out my shocks and springs since they most likely have sagged.

Had a friend replace the rear struts.Rides better and even sits higher. Looks like the camber is off, the bottom of the tire is to far in. I was on the org and found that you can either get a smaller bolt for the top or notch the top bolt hole on the strut.

just take it in for an alignment and make sure they use a computer. Shouldn't cost more than $30 for the rear, if you don't you will be replacing your rear tires soon and that's going to cost more than $30.

You have to have the front aligned when you do the rear. You need a four wheel align. We charge $60 for a four wheel at work, using the Hawkeye alignment system (just put in last Feb), and we are one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest in the area. Some places charge over $50 for just a two wheel (front) with the four wheel going for $75 or more.

Hopefully my car will be going on the rack on lunch within the next week or so, so it stops eating my rear tires... Pulled my summer treads off early just so I can run them another year.

why? if his front is aligned why would it need to be re-aligned?

^^^ because anything can mess up an alignment like pot holes curbs speed bumps and other such things. depending on whe the last one he got was should tell you if he needs all 4, and i think most shops will only do the front or all 4 not just the rear.

Haven't had an align since I got it. Should I wait until I replace the pass side axle?
