I have a 98 Stratus. For the last month or so, on and off its been blowing the 20 amp fuse for Fuel/Ignition. At first, I could just replace the fuse and it would start up. But now,I'll replace the fuse and as soon as I go to turn the car on........it blows the fuse again. Been through fuse after fuse. It will NOT start. Any ideas on what it could be? Switch? Fuel Pump? Any ideas would be of help. I'm out of them.

First thing you need to do is replace the fuse with a circuit breaker
for now. If you can't find a breaker to fit the slot, take the cap off
of one of the blown fuses and solder wires between its prongs and
the circuit breakers terminals.
Then I guess you'd want to start unpluging elements in that circuit
one at a time until the breaker stops tripping. Injectors, coils, etc.
If none of the componants shows a short, then you'll have to start
tracing the wiring harness back to connectors until you find the
section that has the short.

The fuse kept blowing. We would replace it and go to start it and nothing. It would have blown it that fast. We went through 10 to 15 fuses. Finally found out what was wrong. It was the starter. There was a short in the starter. We replaced it and its been awhile now and its been perfect. Good luck.

I didn't notice the date you originally posted this. Sorry.
Glad you got it fixed, shorts can be a nightmare to find. :)

Thanks so much for the help I'll get a starter Monday and try it. It was extremely hot today and the car is over at a friends mother's and i was disconnecting everything going to the PCM and when I got it back together after replacing the camshaft position sensor it was still blowing. Enough of that I try your suggestion Monday and I hope it works.

Thanks again

Did all of this work? I am having the same problem with my 02 Stratus and I've already replaced the fuel pump and a new battery. The fuse keeps blowing with every attempt at starting...
