Okay, so my mother has a 2006 Dodge Caravan, and it's started to shake violently lately while the engine is running.

The check engine light came on, and the codes and their meanings from what I gather are:
P0300 - Random/Multiple cylinder misfire detected.
P0303 - Cylinder 3 misfire detected.
P0306 - Cylinder 6 misfire detected.

So, from what I gather, I need to check the spark plugs and the cables that connect them to the distributor.
If that's all good, then I don't know what would cause them to not fire/fire abnormally.
(I assume misfire can also mean "didn't fire"... but I might be wrong about that...)

Problem with checking spark plug on cylinder 3 and 6, one of them is in the back, and i would have to start taking stuff off to get to it probably... but that aside, any ideas what to do to fix this?

Your coil pack has 3 coils. Each coil delivers spark too two cylinders. Cylinder 1,4 on one coil. The other coil 2,5 share and the last coil 3,6 share. This sounds like your problem. You need a new coil. Unfortunately all three coils are connected to one coil pack and are not changeable except to change the whole coil pack. They cost between $60-75 depending on where you get it from. It looks like the picture and is what all your spark plug wires go too.

Thanks a lot.
That turned out to be the problem.

We got it replaced and all, so it should be fine now.
Thanks again.

Your welcome. Glad to hear it was a simple fix that did it for you. Disconnect your battery to clear the code if you haven't already. This way you know it has been fixed when you can't get the code again. Without doing this, those codes will remain stored in memory for the next 50 starts.
