well friday or sat i will be adding a new toy to my collection which is a 1995eagle talon tsi,and gonna dump about 900 into my neon not sure what i am adding yet to the neon,dont have to do anything on the talon except a paint job.now for the neon i think i will be buy my adj.coilovers from meagen racing,probably like the ones alaskaneon has. not a bad price.

Nice! A Turbo Talon. I rode in a N/A Talon back in 97 and it was quite impressive as it was the fastest 4 banger I had been in. At that point in time anyhow. That was before I got the Neon. I always wondered how the turbo jobs ran. Have fun and be carefull bro!!!

Dont buy it, if ya want a good one my friends friend troy is sellin his its on craigslist right now. Its one of the fastest cars around my area. The only bad thing is the paint IMO. Ill see if i can get the link again to show ya. Ohh and its a 97 talon tsi awd.

yeah thats why i said it needs a paint job but i think imma gonna go with flat black on the body and the wheels.and ordering a 27 piece CF dash kit.
I like it except the front bumper is ghey, i have never liked that bumper and never will. Why would you paint it tho the chalk board paint is sweet, its the same thing as flat black so you would be spending unneeded money. change out that bumper with a stock 97-99 eclipse and call it good. That's what id do anyway. Ohh yea i really like the custom fender flares, they set the whole car off imo.

well i have had to many people telling me to stay away from eclipses due to internal issues so i took a pass on the eclipse,but while i was on a mission i ended up with a 1997 mazda miata m series with the 1.8l dohc.so i will post a few pics to let you get a peek at her.

The Hp and torque are about the same but the Neon would have to go on a diet and loose a few hundred pounds to keep up. Off the line I would give the Neon the upper hand. Once the race was on and the first 60 ft is cleared you might be looking at his tail lights. ;)

From what Ive read the Miata is lighter than the Neon .
Miata is 1040 Kg or 2288 lbs. The Neon is 1084 Kg or 2384 lbs. The Miata is 133 hp and 114 ftlbs. The Neon is 132 hp and 126 ftlbs. Only about 96 lbs difference between the two and the Neon has about 11-12 more ftlbs than the Miata. By golly Mate you should put it to a Miata. Maybe Sohc98 is just diggin how the Dohc motor runs.

Hmmm maybe my sohc would be a good match against the miata then. My car has gone on quite a diet since i got it, it lost the whole a/c system all the trunk carpet and the headliner. The a/c alone was probably about 25 pounds, then add the spare tire, trunk carpet, jack, and tire cover and iv probably lost at least 50 pounds. Plus iv also got the udp and atx t.b. His car is completely stock too. If we had a track here id prolly see if he'd want to race.
