How do you jumper the starter relay wire connector to test the starter? How do you test voltage at the starter? It has a large red wire connector bolted to the solenoid and a small black wire that slips on a blade terminal.
Is there a fusible link on the wiring from the battery to the starter?
Any responses is appreciated.

The large red wire comes directly from the battery and is the main power for the starter motor. The solonoid activates the starter and is the small wire. The small wire on the blade is the wire that becomes a hot wire when the key is in start position. If you get 12 volts at that wire, when the key is turned to start you probably have a bad starter. Before assuming a bad starter. Make sure that red wire has good clean connections at the starter and at the battery. You might want to make sure of the grounds being good clean connections on the battery and where it goes to also. If no power there then it could be the neautral safety switch, relay, fuse, ignition switch or wiring problems. Pulling the black cap off of the relay you can manually push it down to activate the starter. If a relay is suspected. Switching with a known good one, high beam, low beam and such can check before actually purchasing one.
