Hi people
Well, Ive had it with my Hemi - I cant stand her anymore. I want to get into the same truck, but with the Cummins HO 600. I live in Ma. and there is only 1 that I know of around here. Anyone know where I can get one ASAP - I really dont want to order one and wait 2-3 months...

dodge.com, search inventory. there are alot out there if you not paticular about color. also if you go to mapquest and just enter the state, it will give you the larger citys all over MASS. then you can go to the dodge site and get many different dealers.

good luck

Guys, just picked up my new '04 2500 Cummins with 600 engine. I'm in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, and the dealer I bought mine from had several in stock.

Interesting story the salesman told me. Don't know if its true or not, but thought I'd pass it alone. He said that Texas usually gets a high percentage of Dodge trucks that are sold. In California, due to their emissions laws, Dodge is unable to sell any of the High Output engines because of the emissions. However, recently that law was changed, and the HO diesel engines are now eligible to be sold to Californians. Because of that he said that Dodge is sending up to 90% of the new diesel engines to california to catch up with the demand.

Again, don't know if it was a sales tactic, or truth. But the lot I was on had 3-4 of the 600's out of their entire stock. They are a medium - large dealer, approx 400-600 vehicles.

I got too good of a deal to pass it up, and went with the Dodge. I drove mine for the first time today. We'll see how she breaks in.

I feel your pain - Im driving from Plymouth to N. Reading! Im worried about engine life and fuel mileage - hence, the decision to go with the Diesel.
If the 2004 Diesel is 1/2 the truck my 98 cummins was, then I'll be happy. Anything will be better than this Hemi (cough- joke)

Every Cummins built since the first part of Jan 04 will be the 600.This is the one and only engine available in trucks built after that date.

The best place I found in mass is Great Road Dodge Acton MA. I called them and was told that they have two comming in next week. I also went to Foss Dodge in Exiter N.H. Both places have very good deals if you haggle with them. Overfueled

P.S. By the way I drive 112 one way about 1,000 a week. I work in Hartford Ct. I average 19.875 Mpg/per tank. I do better HWY. but who cares I only want to know what I get a tank.

I also have never lost a race Diesel or gas fun truck to drive.

I bought a 600 3500 duelly quad cab 6 speed slt 2 weeks ago at a large northern cal. dealer. I got mine as soon as I told the dealer to get it. Maybe Cal. is getting a lot of the 600's. No problem getting mine. This is THE BEST TRUCK. Had a 2000 7.3 f250. No contest.
