It all started when I was rolling down my window (manually with the lever thing), and it snapped off. I was like crap well how am I going to smoke in the car without being able to roll down my drivers side window? So I took off the panel and did something and it let it go up and down for a while if I pull it with my hands. Well while manually pulling it up and pushing it down with my hands somehow parts broke off that connected it to the rails inside the door so it would get off the tracks and back onto the tracks and weird stuff that made it all floppy and loose as time went by and stuff broke more. Eventually it got so far off the tracks it was crooked and too far raised up so when I shut the door it shattered. :VHOT:
I don't know what I should do, should I get a completely new door somehow? I tried searching for dodge neon door on google and all I get is people selling parts of the door instead of the whole thing and I can't find anyone selling dodge neon windows... I know my options are probably go to the junkyard and get a door, go to the dealership and have them repair it (would this be expensive), or just get the window replaced (I don't even know where) and deal with it being insecure and floppy...
What does everyone think the best option would be / solution? I have never dealt with a busted window before... right now I have it garaged but it's a pain because I have 2 roommates and guests I have to ask to move their cars when I leave. It is a 98 dodge neon 2 door car btw. I need the most cost effective solution because I am pretty broke.
