I’ve been looking at the srt-4 and the only thing I like is the power. That’s about it. The new body is ok but I still would change it out. For a new body kit. Would it can I get the same power in my 2000 and have it act like a srt-4 or should I just go and by the dam car. But I don’t want to spend all of the money just to take off brand new part’s and but some new ones on. Will they just sell me the frame and the inside and I’ll put the body on my self! Then to my moto is that I will never by a brand new car, they drop to dam fast in value. Then to it would be just my daily driver back and fourth to work during the week, and just hanging out during the weekend. I drive about 400 miler a week and on a brand new car. I would kill to total value in like a year, and the warranty would be gone in less then 2 years. Does any body now were I can get a good used one at. Like a lease return or something that has been wrecked and I can just put I back together again. For less the 6 thousand.

ok the srt 4 is not going to be as good on gas as your 2000, higher insurance, higher monthly payments. You could keep the 2000 and add some mods to it or get an srt 4.

SPEED = MONEY no way out of that, You could spend some money on your car to make it faster. Try this find an ACR neon and build it up.IT's already faster than any other stock NEON factory other than the SRT-4. They are SCCA race ready from the factory.Koni adjustable struts,4 wheel disk brakes,a higher performance computer top speed on my factory ACR was 135 mph, before the Mopar Performance computer was added.I think it has 155 mph in it now.peace out.

You can't beat old cars +new parts for cost/speed gains.
A couple of differences:
1/ time it takes to build the 'new' car vs an SRT4 sitting on the lot
2/ Money, Chrysler/Banks are quite easger to lend out 20K for a new car. Try getting that same amount from your bank to 'improve performance' on any car.
3/ Insurance. Will still be cheaper on an older car with mods than any new performance car.
I can easily build a 12sec car for under $4K USD. Can't make a Neon do that but can easily enough with a Dart or Volaré.
As said before, "Speed is a question of money....how fast do you want to go?"
