My van stumbles on acceleration...no noticeable vacuum leaks

Does it happen all the time? Or when it is cold or hot? What kind of engine and carb do you have? 2bbl or 4bbl?

It tends to stumble/lack power all the time now...a little less noticeable when hot. i have a 318 5.9 2bbl.

Sounds like it's time for a carburetor rebuild, especially if it's never been done. Stumbling upon acceleration could also be a timing issue, but more than likely a worn out accelerator pump in the carb.

Just out of curiosity - is it a 318 (5.2) or a 5.9 (360)?
