do bodykits on a neon decrease or increase gas mileage?

They do not effect your gas mileage, and the person who told you that, should be slapped.
In a sick way someone could convince you that it decreases the MPG because it changes the body shape to be bigger & less aerodynamic. But, no, really, you won't see a difference in MPG...

no i didnt even have to look at the link the so called performance chip just messes with the air temp signal going to the pcm. It just tells the pcm that the air is colder than it actually is, and with colder air the more fuel is added which makes your car run super rich.

X2... as soon as you see the words "performance chip" you should run away.

Anytime you add "EXTRA" weight to your vehicle the gas mileage will suffer. It's called gravity. The amount of loss from a body kit should not be noticeable tho it's there.
There wont be no more loss in mileage than if you drove around with a load of groceries. LOL

5x100????? but isnt a 7.5 a little wide for a neon? mine a 17x7 and fit ok but i cant imagine a 7.5

5x115mm :( And the width is 7J, which actually measures out to 7.5", which will fit on a neon. Any larger will rub in the back, but its a mute point since the bolt pattern is wrong. Make a great addition to anything with a 5x115mm bolt pattern... did i mention they are chrome? :D

^^^^^ha lol, dose anyone know the bolt pattern for the 2000-2005 eclipse, i might be able to pick up a set from a guy i know, except he only has 3 and their white but they have nice tires on them.
