:help:

So my gf's car seems to studder at lower RPM's (1000~2000) but not all the time. It is like you are tapping the gas; it shakes. I've checked the fluid level and it looks fine, and the tach shows that the engine speed isn't varying with the car's movement (which I think if it did it would point to an engine issue and not transmission). In general, am I looking at a possible band adjustment job, replacement, etc? Has been in the garage twice and they say no issues (I assume they test-drive it and it acts fine for them).

Throw us a bone here and tell us the year, make, model, engine size, trans, # miles on it, ect.

How long has she owned it for? Long enough to know that this is a new problem which previously did not exist? Or is it a recent purchase and you can't say wether that is the case?

Pete

Does the car throw any codes? Does it shift alright once you get going? Sounds more like a spark plug or wire problem to me. Maybe a sensor if it runs good other than at low rpms. Maybe the TPS is going bad. Id replace plugs and wires if it were me. Good luck

Plugs and wires changed. No codes. It just acts like it is slipping, like your hard tapping the clutch with a manual transmission.
