I have a '95 neon that I am trying to get running. I have run the code test and it told me that the camshaft position sensor was messed up. After replacing that and checking the codes again it told me to disconnect and reconnect the battery which I did. Now it cranks but won't start. At one point it was running before I got the car and I know the pcm was replaced because the previous owner was told that was the problem. After getting advice from this forum I learned how to run the codes and such.(thanks for the help) The codes it gives me now are 11 and 12. The wires seem fine so I am kind of at a loss as to what to due. The dealership is of course telling me the computer is messed up but with it giving different codes then before I have my doubts. Any suggestions? (other then getting to my point quicker)

Code 11 is: no distributor reference signal during cranking. Check the circuit between the distributor and the PCM.

code 12 is for battery bein disconnected in last 50 key cycles, and the code 11 is as stated above. Since you did the cam sensor try the cranksensor to see if thats bad. i just went through this kinda thing a while ago check this thread out for more info.

The car is cranking but doesn't kick over and I have added fuel just to make sure that isn't the problem. The fuses are all serviceable too. How do you find the distributor circuit with a distributorless ignition system?

im guessing that the distributor circut is refering to the coil pack since its kinda the same thing as a distributor. Is their anyspark at the sparkplugs? if not it could possibly be the crank sensor like stated above or it could even be the coil pack itself.

So check for spark and get back to us.
