I'm gonna put a cooler on my 85 904 trans. Should i just hook my lines to it, or tee off and use the factory rad.cooler to ? The coolers new but no box got a deal on it, it's 2 ft. wide 18 inches long, if that helps

As said, bypass the radiator altogether. My 99 5.2 Dakota is set up that way with no issues at all. Good luck!

you could do both - about the same for hooking up.
leave the one line already going to the rad cooler intact and take the other coming out of that one run your line from that one to the new cooler and the other line from the new cooler to the trans line.
