Is This Where My Pcv Valve Goes? Need A Pic Pls!

Did a search for pics, no luck..... :help: 1998 SOHC, 2.0L, A.T.,........

At work right now and can't provide pic of my dilemma....

I have some kind of tube/hose in 3 sections sticking out from the top of VC.

- First section is about 2" long starting from VC.

- Second section has a smaller diameter than 1st & 3rd sections - fits inside 1st and inside 3rd (like a bypass - just so 1st and 3rd join together) and is about 1" in length. Is oily, slimy & slippery. Had to adjust hose clamps so all three sections stayed together and no oil would shoot out.

- Third section routes from fitting over 2nd, and then is sort of pre-formed PCV type hose / tubing which heads over VC towards bottom front portion of engine.

Again, I bought this vehicle used. Did someone bypass the PCV valve? Is this where the PCV Valve is supposed to go? Can anyone show me a pic of where the PCV is on a SOHC 1st gen?

it sounds to me like the valve was removed, if im thinking right it should have a hose coming off the valve cover then connects to the pcv itself then from their go to the intake manifold.

does it look like this I edited it in paint the green would be the pcv itself and the red would be the hoses. the hose should also be running behind one of the intake runners. Mine dosnt have this kind of pcv the 95's had a different kind but i liked this valve cover better so i just filled the hole for that pcv, since i still have the other one. Hope this helps.
