Hey guys (and or gals)
I have a 74 w100 Adventurer with a 360, extended cab and 6' box. I have an opportunity to buy an 11' camper. 2250# loaded weight. My truck has a GVWR of 5760#. Will this be too much for my w100 to handle.
Thanks for replys

IMHO an 11' on a short bed is WAY too much.
I ran an 8.5' on a '79 W150 but my truck was an 8' bed.
The overhang would make the truck unstable.

I lean towards what sgillett says....

Is this a cab-over or is everything hanging off the back of the bed?

If it's a cab-over, the one good thing is the weight is more evenly distributed over all 4 wheels...

On the other hand, you're kinda' asking 'Is it OK to carry a ton in a 1/2 ton pickumup'....

Short answer is NO unless you're willing to spend a WHOLE lot of $$ to beef up the suspension and driveline in a 35 year-old rig.....

I think I'd look for something else....

My .02 cents....
