I have a serious problem with my ac. it is a 2000 dodge neon. if u replace the fuse it will run for so long before it blows the fuse, and starts blowing hot air. the fuse that blows (#7) is labeled ebl switch, clutch and something else. but if u hit the brake it completes the circut and blows cold air again. when the fuse is blowen the rear defrostern and reverse lights don't work, if u replace it then they are fine until it blows again. if u run the ac then it will last for about 5-10 mins. apparently there are ground wires disconnected from behind the front tires, would this have anything to do with the ac or not? if not, any ideas on where the problem is? and what is ebl switch(even the dealership didn't know)?

Id hooks those gounds back up if i were you they might be contributing to at least one of the things thats happening to you, then id check the electrical wire going to your ac (somewhere by the passenger headlight) look for worn marks where it is possibly grounding itself to the car's body.

I have a similar problem with my AC... I tried recharging (according to the gauge it's at full charge) but still blows warm-hot air? any ideas?

Start by getting those grounds hooked up. If that don't do it you should look at the wires and connections as Sohc98 stated. When you engage your defroster the AC is kicked on to help defrost faster. Thats why it goes out when the AC goes. OR vise versa. Im not sure but you may be able to have the compressor tested.
