Looking to drop the rear of my 03 hemi quad, A place in Northrichland Hills, Claims to have a shackle kit that will level it up, the price is right, just wondering if any one has dealt with them (Northhills tire and wheel) I'm also looking to put a rear sway bar on It and am looking for a good product at a good price. As always I value the opinions of this forum and look forward to your responses..........Thanks........Jim

HEB area huh? I'm over in arlington. I picked up a hellwig rear sway bar. It didn't fit with my gibson exhaust, so I returned it. It should fit with the stock exhaust or if you have one built.

Well, it kind of depends on how far of a drop you're looking for. Shackles alone will not level your truck. I took my overload spring out on mine, but that was a mistake. If you are willing to a little lower, you could go 2" in the front and 4" in the rear. Kind of all depends on what you're looking for. I used to live in NRH and I know exactly the place you are talking about. From what I remember, they're a good group of guys.

Check out the Hotchkis sways, they are expensive but extremely well engineered for our trucks---if I wanted a shackle only solution for the rear id use the DJM part and weld up the existing hole relocating it for maximum drop, doubt it will level it tho, should be close---someone here did a weldup on the stock shackle but I wouldnt trust it on a stamped part like that...

Only other suggestion since you dont wanna mess with the front would be a DJM (or similar) flip kit with the adjustable shackle, then you could easily match it up exactly to the front while maintaining your stock ride...

I took mine to Champion springs in downtown Fort Worth. They re-arched the factory springs. I had mine done a little to much though. Might check them out though and see what they tell you.

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it. I was wondering if anyone had tried the 3" drop leaf springs from cheaptruckparts.com. Seems to me that would bring it down just about right. Keep that info coming.....I'll let you know what I come up...

Thanks.........Jim
