First some history...
A few months ago, the "check engine" light of my 2002 Grand Caravan turned on. We checked the code and were told that the EVAP hose was pinched or there was some sort of blockage. Shortly after the light turned, on the Gas Guage also started dropping when after having driven the van for a short while...despite the fact that there was surely enough gas in the tank. A few weeks later the car started stalling on the road when the gauge had dropped for a while, again despite the fact that there was gasoline in the tank.
What we did...
The dealership told us to change the purge solenoid harness, which we did...to no effect. They refuse to tell us exactly what the problem is, saying its too hard to diagnose. Three hundred dollars gone there. We checked all the pipes, none were pinched that we could see, upon the advice of some of the good folks from this forum we also changed the vent valve and then the vent filter. Unfortunately, this didn't have any effect either.
When we disconnected the vent hose from the LDP the problem dissappeared....does that mean we need to change the LDP?
Any other suggestions on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated!
