It is a 99 neon with the 3 speed w/ lockup tranny. DOHC engine. The best way I can describe it is on the tranny itself, the gear selector lever goes to the outer stem, and the kickdown lever goes to the inner stem. The battery acid got all over it an seized the inner stem up so it will not rotate. You can only press the gas pedal 1/4 and then it will stop. If you force your foot, the gear selector lever in the interior of the car will go into neutral. Thats how bad it is. I tried to excersise it with two crescent wreches and it will not come free. How do I pull the stem out of the tranny to replace it?
