Anyone know if a complete 01+ axle be swapped in?
We've already turned in the '06 so I don't have it to reference. Seems the thought came to me just a couple weeks too late. :(

If you do this be sure proportioning valve is correct for rear disc system as it requires more pressure for disc if I remember correctly.

The AWD has disc's in the rear. I don't know if it will bolt up as the axle is different. You are probably limited to the years '96-'00. AWD is rare so you probably will have a hard time finding a donor. jimjack is right about the proportioning valve. An aftermarket adjustable valve might be the ticket. I suppose a car might be a donor if it is the same or greater weight than a mini. This subject comes up quite a bit and so far I haven't read any thread where someone has done this swap. If you figure it out please post the results with lots of pictures. You will be a D/C hero.
