My father In Law has a 1996 Caravan with a 3.3. Right now it does not start. Fuel pump was replaced last year so I know its still functional. I also checked that it is getting fuel through the rails. Right now it appears to have no spark from what I have tested. Trouble code is pointing to the egr valve but I'm sure this won't cause a no start. I have already replaced the crank, cam sensor and coil pack. Plugs, wires, are all about 1yr old. Any other suggestions on what to check?
Thanks

I once had a 91 Imperial with the 3.3. Replaced both the sensors and it still wouldn't start. At times it would sound like it wanted too, then next crank not even try.The new cam sensor, even though it had cardboard on the bottom was recessed to far in. I loosened it and wiggled it up a bit and she fired right up.Just something to try.

Check the coil driver circuits from the computer. Using a test light (an LED-type test light works best for this check) connected to the positive battery terminal, disconnect the coil pack electrical connector and probe the white, red and black connector terminals while an assistant cranks the engine. Caution: Do not touch the dark green/red wire terminal with the test light connected to the positive battery terminal or damage to the PCM may result. If your colors differ, the one wire that is hot when the key is on is the one to not short out. If the circuits are working properly the light will rapidly blink on and off as the PCM grounds the circuit. If there is no flashing from the test light, most likely the computer is defective or you have a break in that line somewhere. Might want to make sure your main harness isn't corroded also. Under your battery there are two plugs that connect to your engine from the body. Being they are under your battery they can become corroded. There also is the possibility of the new cam or crank sensor being defective.
