A/C evaporator temperature Fin Sensor 98 GC

I have the AC error codes 5 and 6.

5 Evaporator fin temp Probe Open

6 Evaporator fin temp Probe Shorted

Ive read that these can be caused by position of or
failure of this sensor....

I have tried to find this part at auto supply stores online...
no luck

Can anyone tell me where this thing is located and
any advice on how to tackle this issue?

Look under the glove box there you will see a black triangular shaped rubber seal with black wires coming out of it.
Work that seal off the heater/ac assy and you will find a metal probe pushed into the fins of the evaporator.
You'll need small hands and good luck to get it out being its Friday the 13th today.
I pulled 1 out of a junker at the local pick-a part junk yard.

The A/C works fine it seems but knowing the
error code is there would drive me crazy. Im
also not sure if this issue would CAUSE any
problem down the road (ha).
