hi guys need help with finding a flywheel for a 360 engine i previously had a 318 in my truck with four speed manual tranny with low torque first and reverse. I have ordered a centerforce 2 clutch but the centerforce flywheel is a killer seems that the flywheel in my 318 was 142 teeth and in order to match up i half to go with a 142 for the 360 right? , or can i go with the lest costly 130 teeth flywheel?

You can use the 130 tooth flywheel. You will need a different bellhousing since the starter has to relocated closer to the engine. The clutch linkage might be slightly different to. (The torque tube is longer in a van due to the different pivot location.)

A 360 is a externally balanced flywheel and a 318 isnt. It has to be for a 360 no matter how many teeth it is and it has to be a 12" clutch for a granny 4spd 4x4.

clutch size on the 318 would be the same size as the 360 right 12 inch?

I have an 11" clutch out of a '88 W150 w/ a NP-435 4-spd, so not all granny 4's have 12" clutches.

No, I have a 318 still, not sure what tooth count the flywheel is but it is the original '72 11" flywheel.

I misread the application will be a 360 which is externally balanced. (I would of mentioned that.)
The 11" and 12" clutch have the same bolt circle and use the larger 143 tooth flywheel... (I have an 11" on my '78 van with a 360 and finding the flywheel took a while going to pick-n pull yards.)
The smaller 130 tooth flywheel is for the 10-1/2" clutch and was used in cars also. The performance engines (440 six-pak and 426 hemi) used a 10.95" dics and scalloped pressure plate to hold the torqu and fit the transmission tunnel. It uses the same bolt circle as the 10-1/2" clutch.
