I figured this may get more reads in this section and its a universal question I assume for my RC and the trucks.

I am in the process of doing a nice resto on a 84' 4x4 RC with a 360. I am gutting the air and heat in it (Didn't work when I bought it). Everything is rebuilt or new from the radiator back. Well I was in the process of putting the power steering bracket/ pump on after a day of cleaning it up, painting it and finding new lines for it. Well I look in my service manual and the dam air condtioner pump is rigged up to the power steering pump. Now I have to believe that their is a bracket out there on some trucks that did have the air. If so is there mopar performance or a dealer part # I can use or model and years to call around for?

Not sure what you are saying, are you looking for a non-AC power steering bracket?

I have seen Idler pulleys mounted in place of the AC compressor on some 80's Dakotas without AC.... I think they did this so the same crank and water pump could be used since the offset is different on these depending whether they had AC in earlier years. (It might look goofy but it did work and the belts might also be shorter.)

Well I've been in corresponce with bouchillionperformance.com about it. I want to gut my entire truck of A/C and heat. I acutally need all new pulleys, and brackets to keep it all lined up. The A/C pulleys need to go from the 2 groove more less to one groove. I guess there is different spacing as well. Were calling junk yards tommarow to see what I can get ahold of, if not its a $300 tag for the parts.

The A/C does use different pulley offsets than non A/C models, the brackets and belt routing are also different.
I have looked for a setup that uses 2 alternator/waterpump belt without A/C and haven't found one that also has power steering also. It seems that dual alternator belts w/o A/C were used on come cars and early trucks, but these have no power steering. Also power steering pulleys have different offsets to.

If you can't find a non-AC Dodge truck in a junkyard there's something wrong :D You can use pulley setup from at least as far back as '72. I don't think any non-AC setups use a 2-groove alternator, could be wrong though.

The A-100 vans with 318's used the dual belt alternator/ water pump setup, but don't have power steering from the factory. I have seen 2 with add-on powersteering, (in junkyards) but they were missing the pulleys.

I got a line on engine with the entire setup on it. I am going to check it out t-row and call on another pick and pull. Any clue on how to remove the pulleys? on the p/s, water pump? or just by new ones?

The waterpump pulley will fall off when tha fan is removed. (4 bolts)
The powersteering pulley is pressed onto a tappered shaft and will need a press and bearing seperator or a special tool to remove it.

The pulleys fall off after the bolts are removed, as B-300 said. 6 bolts in the crank pulley, 4 in the water pump pulley. Just take the whole PS pump, don't fool around w/ trying to remove the pulley. Actually your current pump is probably the same as a non-AC pump, you just new to get the brackets. Make sure you get the alternator brackets too.
