Well Friday I brought my ole' 80' into town to get her presentable.. & possibly sold.
It has been sitting for over a year & a half & that little slant six "popped" right off & idled like new.. I couldnt believe it.
Drove it home ( approx 15 miles ) & she did fine.. Pulled into the drive & she stated missing & popping..
I noticed that under the manifold there was a ton of soot.. like I have a blown manifold gasket ..
Would that cause it to miss & pop through the carb like that??
Also I was looking through my chilton & hayes manuals & can't find the torque sequence or timing for this ole pig..
Can anyone help me out there???

I'm not gonna do much to her.. except like I said get here running good again & maybe shoot here with a coat of grey primer... Just to get her presentable..
Thanks guys.. I'll keep ya posted...with pics soon..
Laters..

timing sounds a little late, the reason why its back fireing.

Dirt in the carb maybe, or a sticky/soggy float.
