Instead of lowering, how about raising?

I see alot of people mentioning about lowering springs and dropping their cars. I see the springs (or at least that's what I think they are) on ebay. My wife dislikes the having to "crawl into the car" so to speak, so I want to raise the car. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas about this? Good idea or bad idea? What possible ways can I achieve this? :IDEA:

put some huge mud tires on it, lol, thatd be cool. Get some hydrolics that go up and down so u can lower or raise it.
