Hey i have already put cold air intake and it makes my turbo a lil louder, is there any way i can get that thing to scream, what can i do??

Take out the silencer ring. Remove the intake hose and there is a stamped "funnel" in the snout of the turbo. It is held in by a snap ring. Two small screwdrivers are the easiest way to remove it.

ya its a 97 CTD and i have already taken the silencer ring out and put on the cool air intake any other suggestions???

Scotty II air intake with the hole cut in the firewall so that it breathes all outside air from the base of the windshield will also make it louder but mainly just to you in the cab. As a side benefit it will lower your EGTs.

I have my firewall cut for the Scotty. My turbo makes sweet music, but it was not enough. So, I installed a PDR turbo. The sound is unreal, spool up is very fast. By the posts above I see that there are a couple of diesel heads :D like me here. :D :D
