Does anyone know what I can use as a substitute for the short piece of rubber hose that connects the metal pipe from my turbo to the intercooler. The dealer wants $150.00 for a 4" piece of hose. Also I need a new radiator fan (the truck was wrecked). Are the aftermarket fan blades OK or should I get a factory one for $60.00.

Thanks in advance

Hi Don,
Boy, you got me stumped on those questions. 150 bucks seems a bit high for a short piece of hose. I might try the salvage yards for the hose. Perhaps even Cummins makes one that would work. As far as the fan goes, are you looking just for the fan, or the fan clutch as well? I haven't heard anything good or bad about the aftermarket ones. I would probably stick with a factory one on that, to ensure that it fits right and doesn't make contact with anything. Hope that helps, at least a little.

If it is possible, go to a Cummins shop for your parts. Cummins will always be less money than a Dodge dealer. If you purchase Cummins parts from a dealer, the packaging bears Cummins logos.
