Where and what do I look for re: struts/shocks etc.

Hi I have an older van 1990 The thing is bouncing when driving. What do I look for to find out if its the sway bar or shocks or struts or whatever is making it bounce. How do you find out how what it is.

If its bouncing when hitting bumps, I say its the shocks.
Push down on each corner of the van at the bumpers, after 1 good hard push, it really shouldnt bonce more then 1 extra rebound, if does it needs shocks.
