:help:
My B250-88 (318Tbi) has been served by an ..... i think, the engine seems to be misaligned to the rest if the car, ive changed the bushing on the gearbox and i have to pull the gearbox to the left with brutal force to fit the bushing(rubber) i think that one of the enginemounts have been changed to the wrong type.
So the question is!
Does the enginemount look the same on both sides?
could someone provide me with a picture to compare with?

I'll be very happy

Peter

Try looking up the part at one of these sites. Most of the time they have pictures.

Same mount for both sides. Unfortunately those above sites don't ship internationally, but Rock Auto does.

www.rockauto.com

Or try a local Chrysler dealer.

To bad! :-)
then something else must be wrong, because i should'nt have to pull the gearbox to the left using a cargospanner (for securing cargos on trucks)
I was so hard to pull that by the hand i was not possible.
Any ideas what the problem is?

To expand on this a bit. As Dodgevanman said, those mounting are correct. However, since we can only see the top half of the mount, all that can be said from those pictures is that the mounts are attached to the block correctly. The possibility exists that the mounts are not on the crossmember correctly or that the crossmember is bent. Either of these conditions will twist the engine within the van.

One other point is that the L/H metal bracket is different on a 318 versus a 360 and 1988 vs 1989...do you know if the engine has been swapped and are you sure you have a 318? I see this problem come up with full size trucks when swapping engines.

Also, if the rear crossmember that the tranny mounts to is bent or otherwise hosed up, it will create problems for the engine alignment.

Thanks for the reply,
No im not sure if someone has changed the enigine, how do i indentify 318 vs 360?
Both crossmenbers are ok,
Maybe i should lift the engine and see if its aligning itself, when i unmount the lower mountings

Look on the front left side of the engine block just below the driver's side head. There should be a stamped number there telling you the displacement.
