96 Caravan, 3.0 v6

I noticed this lately... here's what I've done in the last week:

New front pads.
Changed brake fluid.
New wiper blades all around.
2x new front brake rotors
PCV Valve
New mp3/usb/cd/cdrw/sd head unit
air filter change
new clock spring (dealership warranty replacement)

I've noticed lately, at a stop, I'll push the gas and it'll act like it's in neutral for a few seconds then it'll feel like it drops into drive and take off.

Is this related to my P0300 random misfire?

Tomorrow:
new spark plugs all around
new spark plug wires
new ignition rotor
new distributor cap
Valve Cover Gaskets
oil change / filter change

Maybe that'll fix it, maybe not. This thread is for opinions on whether or not it's related, or if it's tranny related.

Your transmission is slipping.

Checked tranny fluid today, looked bone dry. Added two quarts.. no slipping since :/

Since a transmission doesn't normally leak, I would try to find out where the problem is.

My trannie hesitates on a cold engine also. I changed the trannie fluid last year. Going to do it again soon.

Other than Mopar ATF-4, are there any other synthetic ATF's which are recommended?

Well, since I filled it.. no leaks, no issues.

Today, noticed a drip that wasn't oil. Coming almost from directly center below the big black wiper box/cowl thing. Sure enough, tranny fluid.

Ugh.

If you have a tranny cooler, look at the hoses and clamps. Many times just a loose clamp or cracked hose.

Where would it be/ what would it look like? Never had a car with one, but I assume the v6 3.0l *would* have one.

It would be underneath the van and looks like a miniature radiator.

That's a negative, then, in that case.

:/

I should have added that that describes an external cooler. Most vehicles have a cooler inside of the radiator so see if there are 2 lines going into the side of your radiator.
