Hi, Newbie here:
It started two years ago and it seems to be temperature related. When the weather is colder, the transmission seems to surge. If I watch the Tachometer, the rpms rise a few hundred and then it drops back. It runs fine all summer long when the weather is warm. No computer codes. Miles are 172K, 3.8 engine. I tried driving in low gear and it does the same thing. 2nd & 3rd the same. I change the ecm because of other problems but that has not affected the surging. It's also intermittent. Tried replacing the coil pack, Solenoid Pack, Tune up. Had the tranny flushed, but no change. Again, only happens in the colder weather (Baltimore, MD area).
