My B250-88 with 318TBI runs quite well, but it drink more fuel then i drink beer, (and thats a lot :D ) I have changed nearly all things, sparkplugs, filters, sensors, And the fuelpressure is correct.
BUT. When i read the Haynes manual its says its gonna be vacuum at the fuelpressurereg. I dont have the vacuum. The hose is fine from the reg. to the tbi-body, when i blow in that hose the air comes out in al little between the trottleplate and the injector, Is that ok, Should the vacuum come from the barrel where gasoline sprays?

Regards
Peter

The question still remains

The hose is connected to ported vacuum, so you won't get any vacuum on it at idle. If you were to connect a vacuum gauge to that hose and drive around, the vacuum should vary between zero (no engine load) and 8 (high engine load.)

Ok. thanks!
Strange that in the haynes book, it states "check for vacuum" if the is no vaccum change the hose or check for leaks.

The haynes are usually good But even the sun has dark spots :-)

Well you can check for vacuum. They just didn't tell you how to do it. :)

No they did'nt :-) But it will be a lot of problems for the staf at haynes to take pictures from a car running, without enginehood, aircleaner .......
but they fix that to, great guys at haynes
