Looking for a wheel expert. I have a 96 B-3500 with 8 bolt steel wheels & hubcaps. Would like to change to factory chrome wheels with new tires. Will any year Dodge 8 bolt wheel fit? If not what year range will? I've been told that any 8 bolt wheel will fit Dodge, Chevy, Ford, but I don't know if I buy that. Thanks for any help.

Ken - I'm definitly not the expert, BUT my van (a '98 2500) did come from the factory with the chrome steel 8 lug wheels. They were pretty common on the pickups, and less so on the vans. I think that the pickups and vans used exactly the same wheel, but I'm not 100% positive. And as far as any differences thru the years, I'm also not for sure. I would also like to know for sure, though, so I dropped my spare and took some measurements. I AM pretty sure that '98 - '03 were the same, so compare these measurements with what you've got and see if they measure the same.

Tire Size : LT225/75R16 (3500 vans used a 235 tire?)
Wheel size : 16 x 6.5
Distance between 2 studs NEXT TO EACH OTHER : 2 1/2"
Distance between 2 studs OPPOSITE EACH OTHER (straight across the center) : 6 1/2"
Distance from inside edge of rim (the back side) to mounting flange : 4 3/4"

Here's what mine look like:

Hope that helps.

I see those wheels on Ebay all the time. You can pick up a set of 4 pretty reasonably most of the time. Ram pickups used a similar wheel as well.
