I'm assuming that your mpgs were reasonably acceptable before and that something has changed. You didn't mention any maintenance but a good start would be plugs, wires, air cleaner and a tire pressure check. Be sure the engine is coming up to full operating temperature in a reasonable amount of time and that the transmission is getting you into overdrive with the torque converter locked up above about 45mph. Other than that, you may be due to change the O2 sensor although they seem to typically last longer than your mileage.

Bad mpg, check:
- tire pressure
- air filter
- change spark plugs/wires
- change fuel filter
- O2 sensors
99% of the time, it's low tire pressure.
