I was so happy a month or so ago and told ya guys about the 1987 w150 I bought. Well the other night a F250 diesel decided to run into the back of my truck about 50 mph and it is totaled so I officially still own one but she will be turned into a mud/play truck as the damage is too great. I am sad but will be buying another once the insurance gets me my money.

Good luck on getting the insurance co. to pay you for the value of your truck. had a friend who had a similar accident - his 63 chevy II wagon was rearended - had to sue the driver - to get that insurance co. to pay him $2000. cost that much in attorney's fees.

As long as they give me what I have in the truck 1200.00 I will not be suing but if not I will do what I have too. There was a dog that ran out in the road and I was trying to stop but couldn't in time and hit the dog. I didn't swerve as that is when you get hurt. So here in Ohio the dog owner is as liable as the guy behind me. as the aniamal was not confined to the owners property. I don't want to turn this into a carnival but will get what is due to me somehow or another.

Yes the lift will fit. Call 570-265-6111 and ask for Tim Fisher. He will send you pictures. I had a 87 Ramcharger with a 4" lift and liked it alot.

good luck and be prepared to fight the insurance - it might take some time to get the money.

A few years ago I had bought an 80 caprice classic from the original owner - an 80 y.o. man - all original and 50k miles on it - no major dents, etc.

some dill hole 2 weeks later hits me in the driver's rear quarter. Insurance said my car was woth 500.00

yeah right

well it took some time but I got 1900 out of them and be prepared - they'll call it totalled and want to take the truck (so they can salvage it) or they will offer you to "buy" it back from them - usually what a junk yard pays for one (about 150 to 200).

Well all I can say is so far his insurance company has been great once it was dertimened by them h was at fault. I got my rental and they call eveyday to tell me the status. They are already prepared to pay me my time for being off work at 170 a day and my pain she stated she will settle that as she stated they are responsible for paying me for my pain. We will see though his insurance was not a local rinky dink place it is allstate.

Well, that should have been a 'no-brainer' on their part! The ONLY time I've ever seen a 'rear-ender' NOT the fault of the guy that did the rear-ending, was he was able to prove that the guy he hit, his brake lights were not working...

Allstate is pretty good about those things.... Not a 'Fly-by-night' at all.
About 20 years ago, my wife had a Mazda 323. she was parked at a 7-11.
These 3 kids, in a stolen truck, and being chased by the cops, came flying through the parking lot and hit her car. (Chase ended)
Anyway, since the lady who owned the truck had left her keys in the rig, letting these kids steal the truck, her insurance company (Allstate) didn't even ask me a question, other than my mailing address. I got 3 estimates and had a check from them in a week. They even cut me a check for the highest estimate too!

Well they told me 1365 if they keep the truck and 1245 if I keep the truck I told them I wanted to keep it it as it is still movable and wolud make a good mud truck. The medical side is up to like 3000 with 1000 going to pay for doctors and the ambalance ride. So I won;t be suing as I am not hurt (minor) and will get what I paid for it and still have a mud truck so I am satisfied.

I am sure it will be fixed he just needs a new big cow catcher bumper that is not bent int the tires and the radiator and front part. It could have been worse I am just glad no one was hurt.
