thia maybe a stupid ?but was wondering where the jack is on these trucks.is it behind the seat or in the engine compartment.what kind of jack is it the kind that goes under the sides or the old kind in the bumper,when you have to use it?thanks

Most were found under the hood on passenger side I think....99.99% of the time they are MIA and usually useless except in dire emergency.
Harbor Freight sells a nice cheap floor jack that does wonders.

take out the factory jack and add a bottle hydralic jack in its place and two 4x4s and a 2x8 in your bed...or mount a hilift jack behind your seat...unless you have a gas tank there.

I think mine is a stock bottle jack that can be found on the passenger side under the wind shield wiper fluid container. Lug nut wrench and handle for the jack is found on the inside of the passenger side fender in the engine compartment.
