what is this truck it is a 1986 long bed 2wd.i can not find out what the prospetor truck is anywhere thanks

i think its along the same lines as an adventurer just a few certain options badges and with the prospector 2 tone paint (at least all the ones I've seen are 2 tone)

my 84 is a prospector i don't what makes it that mine has no options out of ordinary that i can tell.

It's just a minor appearance package, possibly a regional package. All mechanical parts are the same as other trucks.

i have looked at a 86 d150 and has a decal says prospector on one side of the bed.it has 2 tone paint and the big mirrors,air and it had vinyl seat.i dont know about the rest of the stuff and had a cd player.where is the speakers at in the trucks in a regular cab thanks

my 86 had one speaker in the top of the dash along with an am radio, but the only option it has is an automatic so the more optioned trucks might have them in the doors I'm not sure

Sometimes I think, that on my own rig, the only thing that makes it 'Custom' is the plastic doo-hickey on the dash that says 'Custom' ... :D :D :D
