Rear ends swap

Hello I have a 1986 D 250 with I think a 91/4 rear end its a 12 bolt cover anyway. My ? is will a rear out of an 85 4x4 3/4 ton bolt right in? I think the guy said it was a Dana 60?Thanks

You might need to change the length of the driveshaft. Also all Dana 60's I have seen for trucks have 8 lug wheels.

Should I get the drive shaft from the 85 then? his is 4x4 mine is 2wd. mine has 8 lug wheels too. Thanks
