The passenger window on my '87 is stuck in the up position. It has pwr windows and the window motor died the other day. I have the replacement motor but would like to hear any advice/tips from someone that has done this job before. I've got the manual and searched the internet. Looks pretty straightforward, but I'm sure the devil is in the details.

I've already got the inner door panel removed, just have to cut the rivets to remove the regulator and then swap the motor and reinstall.

Any advice would be most helpful! Hoping this motor lasts another 21yrs!

I'll be watching this thread too, as my 87 passenger side motor is gone. I bought the truck with it MIA (well in the glovebox). Previous owner managed to remove it and the "window" goes up and down when you push it.

The truck was also missing the switches on that side - I haven't torn into the door yet to see what is and isnt there, but I want to do this soon. Driver's side window works sweetly.

I successfully changed my passenger side power window motor this morning. Was quite difficult as you have to remove the glass, vent window assy and regulator, but with a lot of careful manuevering my friend and I got it all swapped out. The hardest part is avoiding tearing up everything in the process. But it's done now and works like new!
