I am buying a SRT-4 and have a couple questions:

How is the stock audio system? Should I get a upgraded one?

Does it come with an alarm? If not, should I have the Dodge dealer install it? I don't know what kind of alarms the Dodge dealers have.

Thanks, Maidenfann

the sound system is not so bad depend of how much bass you like if you put any modification in your car go for a 2 way alarm system that way if some one do some thing to your car the remote will tell you and a little bonus this alarm come whit remote star but they cost 600$ to 700$ (install)

The sound system is good, but yes the car comes with an alarm. The only thing is the factory doesn't turn it on. You have to request that your dealer turn it on for you. If they tell you they don't know how or try to charge you, you can contact dodge customer service and they will essentially tell the dealership what to do. It talks about the alarm like on page 86 of the owners manual even though you don't have the alarm when you first get the car.

I recommend getting the Kicker "livin' Loud" system upgrade. It is THE BEST sounding factory system that I have ever heard. 10" sub in a lightweight trunk enclosure and 6 Kicker speakers that are all produced by Kicker.

AWESOME

Directed alarms are the best, why buy anything else. They own the market:

Clifford
Viper
Python
Sidewinder
etc, etc, etc

They are the only alarm company that will not be going any where. I also know this from working there.
