I have never had a stick before this truck and my question is regarding clutch fluid. Do I need to change/replace or maintain clutch fluid in this truck? Are there any extras as far as maintainence that I need to do in a manual versus an automatic? I am aware of the no riding the clutch rule, I just don't know about anything else. Thanks.

There is no such thing as clutch fluid. the manual transmition uses sometimes the same thing as your rear end such as 80/90w gear lube but dont know the acuall weight needed for yours. In the past I have always changed the fluid every 40 to 50 thousand miles if you are in a hotter climate with lots of stop and go traffic you might want to go with 30 to 40 thousand miles. But your regular mechanic could give a better idea on when to change. I live in the north so cold and hot weather come in to play also all the damn hills to go up and down so thats what prompted me to change moore often. I work for a deliverie company and all our vans have automatic trans and we dont change the fluid and never had any problems, other stations do regular service on their trans and 7 out of 10 vans have had to have the transmition changed, but I do suggest changing yours.

If the clutch is hydraulicly actuated then yes you do have "clutch fluid" basically just hydraulic fluid. There will be a small resivoir at the master cylinder that works the clutch. Normally there is little to do with it, just keep it full.
